Freestyler Sean wins Red Bull Street Style Competition

The final of the Red Bull Street Style competition was held in Brazil this week. Arnaud Garnier (Sean) beat out the other 42 competitors to win the competition. Prior to the final, Red Bull held competitions in different countries to pick one winner to take to Brazil. In Brazil, the best freestylers from each country went against one another.
Edgar Davids (NED), Bebeto (BRA), and futsal world champion Falco (BRA), whose task it was to judge the performances of the athletes based on the criteria ball control, technique, and style in combination with the music. The next world championship is scheduled for 2010 in South Africa. The 2010 competition should gather an even larger audience due to the World Cup that will be held in South Africa.

UK Online Qualifier Announced!
Registration opened on Friday 5th September for the UK place in the Red Bull Street Style World Final in Sao Paulo in November.

The Event: Red Bull Street Style World Final
The format is simple: in each "battle" two players square off in a one-on-one duel against each other. They take alternating 20 second turns with the ball, using their time to show off the best of their artistic moves to the sounds of breakdance and hip hop. In the finals, the judges will be evaluating the three minutes based on control, creativity and style - with each element given equal weighting.
Which baller is best equipped to represent the UK in this year's Red Bull Street Style World Final and to bring home the title, for the first time ever? Who can demonstrate their skills and creativity in all three criteria in head-to-head battles against the world's best?
Who goes? You decide! The top-class jury is you...there is no one better equipped to make the decision.
The UK place is now up for grabs and is open to everyone. Applicants must register here from Friday 5th September until midnight on Friday 19th September to be in with a chance of qualifying for the world final. Simply enter your details and upload a 60 second UNEDITED video showing off your best tricks and moves with a ball that will ensure you win a head to head battle against your opponent.
Between Monday 22nd September until midnight on Monday 6th October the battles will commence and the public will vote for who wins each online battle. The baller who wins the most battles will be selected to represent the UK in the World Final in November.The results will be announced on Friday 10th October.
